George Bernard Shaw once said, “There is no love sincerer than the love of food.” I like to think that food photography is different than the rest. There is much more to be seen in food photography than what is pictured. Texture, scent, freshness, and temperature can also be presented. On my photographic journey so far, I enjoy using natural light and simple compositions in my work to show depth to food photography.
I realized my love for food photography slowly over time. While in art school, I noticed that I was photographing food for every assignment. That's when I realized the obvious: I love photographing food. Within my photographs, I like to tell a story through bright colors, well thought out props, and careful food styling. I work hard to show the short-lived beauty of food because there is nothing people love more.
